About

As a long time tech enthusiast I have always found myself researching new technological advancements, watching keynotes from notable leaders in the tech industry, as well as a passion for understanding and troubleshooting hardware and software.

I am first and foremost a student who is willing to learn and obtain new skills to become a balanced intellect. I come from a small town in Southern New Jersey where I grew up as a first-generation Indian American where diversity was scarce. Fighting through all of my insecurities, challenges, and hardships that came from being one of the only Indian kids in my town I went through high school with top marks and glowing recommendations from my instructors. With the drive to become a doctor, I started my journey at New York University studying Biomedical Sciences at the engineering school, however after working in a hospital for almost a year I realized that a hospital was not the right environment for me and I began finding my true passions.

After a few years of studying psychology, finding my passion for photography, and rediscovering my love for all things technology I graduated from NYU in 2020 ready to meet the world of opportunity, however, due to the raging pandemic jobs in my field were scarce. Due to this, I decided to strengthen my skills in technology and started teaching myself languages such as Javascript, HTML, and Python. Soon after I applied to App Academy where I spent the past few months sharpening my skills in Javascript, Python, React/Redux, HTML, CSS, and Database manipulation. From here I landed my first job as a Senior Consultant at CapGemini where I learned the ropes of working as developer in a SCRUM based team. I am eager to build upon the skills that I have acquired at App Academy and CapGemini and am pursuing a new software engineering role where I can grow and learn with the help of a mentor as well as contribute to my team and the overall success of the company. Projects

Mango Music, similar in moniker to Apple Music, is a website where a user can register for an account to upload music, create playlists, listen to music, and listen to music uploaded by others. Mango Music's design is similar to Apple Music as well as functionality. This project was built using a Python, Flask, SqlAlchemy backend, a PostgreSQL database, Javascript, React, and Redux in the front end and AWS S3 for the uploading of music and images.

QuickPics is a site that follows the functionality and design comparatively to Instagram, where users after creating an account can upload an image with a caption, like and comment on images, follow other users, search for other members and much more. The site in its entirety was built using a Python, Flask, SqlAlchemy backend, PostgreSQL database, Javascript, React, and Redux in the front end and AWS S3 for uploading images.

Console.Game is a site that was based on the structure of Goodreads with a video game twist. Registered users are allowed to search for games, add games to their own gameshelf that's broken down into played, playing, and wishlist, as well as the functions to leave a rating and comment on an individual game. This app was built using an Express, Javascript, Sequelize backend, a PostgreSQL database, and Pug for the front end.
